The Year 7 football team lost 2-1 to Sackville. Despite being the better team we just couldn’t get past their goalkeeper despite over ten shots on target and hitting the post once. A few poor clearances in defence allowed Sackville to score with their only two chances on goal.
The Year 7 football team narrowly lost last night to The Weald School in the 2nd round of the County Cup after a dramatic game and a penalty shootout.After a bright start by Imberhorne, The Weald began to dominate the game with some good play and great individual skills.
The yr 7 boys won their first round county cup match 3-1 away to Oathall. The team was the same as the last one except for Sam Jackson standing in for M. Card in goal. After going one-nil down in the first five minutes, Imberhorne gained control of the match with some good passing play.
On 16 September, A Level PE students were treated to kayaking on Weir Wood Reservoir followed by a BBQ back at school. This was a joint Year 12 and Year 13 trip which proved to be loads of fun!
Congratulations to four Year 12 students who participated in the Debating Matters Competition on Monday Night. R. Dessoy and L. Muschamp successfully battled their way through the first round, arguing that physician-assisted suicide should be legalised.
A big thank you to the students, parents and staff for helping to raise money from the Quiz and Raffle for the Kisarawe Orphanage near Minaki School, Tanzania. With your help, a water tank has been installed at the orphanage providing much needed fresh water.

On Monday the 14 of September we met at 6:30 in the morning at Imberhorne Lane hoping to leave by 06:45. Unfortunately the coach company forgot to send a coach for us but they came quickly after Mr. Weaver called them!
You must understand that I am not an outdoors-y person. I don’t do sport. I don’t go camping. I certainly don’t jump off the top of 30 foot poles while my classmates are holding the rope. For goodness’ sakes, I don’t even tan!
