Year 10 students get the art bug at the Booth

On 4th and 6th February, Year 10 art students travelled to the Booth Museum of Natural History and Brighton Art Gallery for research as part of their GCSE Art Coursework.Students spent several hours drawing insects, spiders, birds and small animal skeletons in the Booth Museum. In the Brighton Museum they identified how motifs and shapes, inspired by natural forms had been used in the art work of other cultures. All four art groups returned to school with several sketchbook pages of drawings. Throughout this project students will explore the themes of metamorphosis and transformation and will use their creativity to develop 3D sculptures. Mrs A Hayden
