Thursday March 4th 2010 saw our team of Year 8 and Year 9 attending the UKMT Team Mathematics Competition at Ardingly College. This was a regional final featuring teams from Surrey, Sussex, and Kent. There were 26 teams in total.Imberhorne got off to a flying start – scoring 54 out of 60 on the first round, putting us in third place. Sadly the crossnumber proved rather more of a challenge but the next two rounds were a little more favourable and we finished in a very pleasing 11th place (but the scores were close – we were only 18 points away from third). There were a high number of independent schools present – but we were pleased to have beaten the teams from Warden Park, St Paul’s and Oakmeeds.Many thanks to E. Hochkins, N. Trueman, B.
