Post 16 Results at Imberhorne

Imberhorne’s Sixth Form students celebrated today as they received their A level and BTEC results.

Results this year are based on teacher assessments.  A considerable amount of time and effort went into ensuring our assessments were as rigorous as possible, several different elements contributed to students’ final grades including mock exam results utilising exam board materials.  We believe results this year are a very accurate reflection of our students’ capabilities.  They should be very proud of what they have achieved.

They worked incredibly hard and prepared themselves exceptionally well during a time of great uncertainty.  These outstanding results are a tribute to their great commitment and effort, they are well-deserved.

Key headline figures are as follows:

  • 68% of all grades were at A*-B
  • 90% of all grades were A*-C
  • 5 students attained a remarkable 4 A* grades
  • 28 students attained 3 or more A/A* grades or A/A*/Distinction*

We are delighted that the year group, as a whole, have performed so well with the overwhelming majority of students meeting or surpassing their target grades.  Whilst a significant number of students are embarking on University courses a sizable number are also starting apprenticeships or moving directly into employment, we wish them well for the future and thank them for all they have done for the school in their time here.
