After a long journey, full of frustrating delays, we arrived a full 24 hours after setting off. The biggest delays were at the Channel Tunnel (three hours) and on the congested autobahn north of Munich! The students were really well behaved and a genuine pleasure to be with throughout the journey. Before ski fitting we went snowballing in some of the deeper snow near our hotel. Bedtime was after our fire drill at 9.00pm, with few protests from many tired students...zzz...

The official Saalbach resort site has information about the area. Use the "Weather/Snow" menu to see live web-cams from the main ski-lift stations. Our skiers will be using the Zwolferkogel regularly this week.

You can use a new interactive piste map to zoom in on the areas where the skiers will be this week. There are also some panoramic video sequences showing the view from the top stations.
