Trips with limited places available

Some of the trips offered in school only have limited places available on them. This is often the case for theatre trips or workshops that can accommodate a certain number of students. On all such trips, we clearly cannot guarantee that all students wanting to attend will be able to. In order to deal with this in a fair and transparent fashion, we have adopted the following practice: students need to return their reply slips to school. They will be placed in a box and the reply slips will be drawn randomly to allocate the places. Once the places have been confirmed we ask parents to make their payment. We feel that this is the fairest approach that we can adopt.
