Year 12 and 13 (KS5) build upon performance and the course currently on offer is centralised around musical performance. The course develops musical skills and competencies and places the learner in real life contexts. Character development is also a heavy feature.

BTEC Level 3 Music (Performing)

The BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Music Performing is equivalent to one A Level and offers a practical approach to the study of Music with a focus on performing. The course is assessed purely through coursework and ongoing assessment with the offer of both mandatory and optional units of study. The BTEC offers a more hands on approach than more traditional routes and can form the basis of further study at degree level or prepare learners for professional employment within the music industry.
