Exam Information

Cambridge Technicals Level 3 (Year 12)

Exams will be sat in June of each school year and portfolios will be submitted to the exam board at the same time. While students are completing exam unit work they will have regular internal assessments as well as an expectation to complete a set number of exam questions per fortnight.

Portfolio work will be completed in class but students will be expected to work independently on this work in between lessons.

Students will be given an interim deadline to submit a first draft to the unit teacher after which they will be given detailed feedback on how to improve for the second and FINAL deadline. Work submitted after a FINAL deadline will not be accepted and interim marks will be used as FINAL.  If no interim or FINAL work has been submitted students will get 0 for that piece of work and overall marks will be significantly reduced.

Students who get a U grade in one unit will unfortunately get a U grade overall regardless of individual unit grades on other units (this is a criteria direct from the exam board)
